Katarzyna Wiktorski Octet
Inspired by Andrea Keller’s Wave Rider and Linda Oh’s Aventurine, Kat formed an octet ensemble in 2019 which focuses on recording and performing her original compositions and arrangements. Fusing an unconventional string quartet with a jazz quartet, her pieces are influenced by classical, jazz, film music and contemporary sensibilities. Kat’s music explores light and dark musical landscapes, drawing from personal experiences that create an emotional, ornate listening experience.
