The Oscura Demos (2020)

The Oscura Demos were Jade’s foray into the realm of flamenco fusion through the two staple styles of alegrías and bulerías.

Both these tracks and others will feature in greater depth in Jade´s upcoming full-length album entitled Oscura (Coming 2021).

From A Distance by Katarzyna Wiktorski (2020)

Jade Nye features on Katarzyna Wiktorski’s 2020 EP From A Distance, a moving contemporary jazz-classical crossover which explores the complexities of displacement, anger, grief, gratitude, and more through sound.

Pianist/composer Wiktorski harnesses the emotive poignancy of a string quartet with the driving pulse of a saxophone-piano jazz quartet in this lush, thought-provoking extended play.

Search for Stillness (2020) marks the video debut of Katarzyna Wiktorski´s chamber jazz group in a composition recorded during Melbourne´s strict COVID-19 lockdown, utilising a sax-string-piano sextet to blend rich, clustered harmonies with improvised solos.

Pique & Peace (2020) ventures into darker territory, meditating on emotions of rage and its aftermath. Pique & Peace is included on Katarzyna Wiktorski’s 2020 EP From A Distance, available for listening.
